The OAD (Opinionated About Dining) list was born in the earliest phase of blogging. A project by Steven Plotnicki that in recent years has established itself as one of the reference guides, based on the reviews of accredited collaborators. Last week, at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid, he unveiled his new rankings, which include a substantial number of Spanish and Andalusian restaurants.
More than half a thousand restaurants make up its enormous vademecum, among which there are 45 national gastronomic spaces and 3 from Seville. In the first 150 positions 6 andalusian restaurants are making a notable niche for themselves.
And as far as its list of best European openings is concerned, Mesón Sabor Andaluz (Alcalá del Valle, Cádiz) is in tenth place. So, holding on to your catalog is a guarantee to eat well next year.

Bagá, in Jaén, fifth best restaurant in Europe
One of the biggest surprises of the OAD 2024 list is that Bagá (Jaén) is placed in 5th position, only behind the great titans Alchemist (Copenhagen, Denmark), Etxebarri (Axpe, Spain), JAN (Munich, Germany) and Restaurant Frantzén (Stockholm, Sweden).

Andalusian restaurants in the top 150 of the OAD list
The ranking takes into account the votes of 7,500 prescribers registered on this platform. And Spain is the country with the most tickets in this index of great restaurants.
Bagá is followed by other Andalusian restaurants with the favor of the most demanding diners. They are as follows: Noor (Córdoba) at number 57; Aponiente (El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz), at number 69; Kaleja (Málaga), by Dani Carnero occupies number 103; Vandelvira (Baeza, Jaén) on 111 and the proposal of Tohqa (El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz) is 142.

Tenth best opening in Europe: Mesón Sabor Andaluz
The very young chef Pedro Aguilera has not neglected his time. Chef revelation in Madrid Fusion 2022, he runs Mesón Sabor Andaluz, the former restaurant of his parents, who have already been awarded the bib Gourmand distinction and which is currently ranked as the tenth best new European restaurant according to OAD.
