The month of august in Seville the high temperatures, at the risk of the high temperatures, is resulting in a massive exodus to the villages y beaches of its neighbors. Afternoons are synthesized in the murmur of cicadas and until well into the night walkers are scarce, in search of shelters and terraces in the shade. Thus, those who stay in Seville in August see the weeks go by in a gloomy mood, with the only relief of finding leisure plans at sunset or open restaurants.
And while a large number of restaurant businesses go on vacation this month, many others open to dispense experiences without the crowds expected in other seasons.
We have compiled some of them bars, restaurants and terraces that are open this August and that are ideal for tributes, special occasions and simply upscale tapas.
1. Low Bar
The Barra Baja team has taken a well-deserved vacation but will be back this Wednesday, August 7 to offer their sensational market cuisine. Rafa Liñán and Patricia Moliner are in charge of this space between Las Setas and Plaza del Duque that the reader should try immediately if he or she is looking for product and embers.

2. De la O
De la O overlooks the banks of the Guadalquivir River from Triana as one of the most important restaurants in the neighborhood and in the more peaceful terraces of the city. Dining under the stars or having a good feast in its lounge, marked by wood and greenery, brings together the goodness you need if you stay in the city. Very good raw material and excellent execution by Manuel Llerena.
But De la O doesn’t dress up for the photo and we tell you why. Established more than four years ago next to the Guadalquivir, it is devoted to local cuisine, a return to tradition, taking care of seasonal products and betting on a menu that is practically gluten free.
paseo de Ntra. Sra. de la O, 29
3. Contempt
Desacato is an exercise of disruption that already anticipates its industrial style interior design. As for its cuisine, under the direction of Pablo Carrasco, diners will savor a mixture of southern flavors and an undeniable taste for Basque gastronomy.
📍 c/Amor de Dios, 7
4. La Casa del Tigre
La Casa del Tigre is already a benchmark restaurant for those who enjoy the caps with fervor while leaning towards more elevated elaborations. This space brings together both concepts in an environment where the atmosphere is also the protagonist.
Lucho Plaza is one of the partners responsible for this project where you can get your hands on one of the best patatas bravas in town and some mini brioches filled with red butter emulsion that will knock anyone’s socks off.

5. La Azotea
La Azotea’s menu invites to good food in all its formats. From snacking on cured meats and traditional tickets such as the salad or the croquettes to individual dishes and fish off the menu. You have several restaurants in the city (also a beach bar under the tutelage of the same group on the beach of El Palmar) where you can try their cuisine, which pivots from tradition to fusion.
📍 Conde de Barajas, 13
6. La Vicenta
From a more casual point of view, without renouncing to pleasant dishes and a spacious terrace, La Vicenta is an alternative to eat cheaply in the center of the city. One of the restaurants of the Manducare group that opens this August in Seville, what is its cuisine based on? Pescaíto frito seafood, classic tapas and some stews.
