Christmas markets in Seville conquer the avenues, squares and spaces that the city has prepared for the occasion. The city is decorated and receives the Christmas leisure full of novelties and without restrictions.
The event will not miss the lighting, Christmas exhibitions or themed parks.
An endless number of guaranteed plans among which stand out the picturesque Christmas markets, some of which are detailed below.
1. Nativity Scene Fair
The Association of Nativity Scene Merchants of Seville (ACOBE) organizes one more year the Nativity Scene Fair of Seville. Together with the Delegation of Major Festivities of the City Council, the Cathedral and the Archivo de Indias will celebrate until December 23 this traditional event.
Whether to give life (and craftsmanship) to the Bethlehem at home, or to browse the pieces of traders, a walk through this Christmas market is a must of Seville.
Various shapes, sizes, styles and materials fill the stalls (even Playmobil) of the Avenida de la Constitución. Pieces, ornaments of different kinds, moss and other derivatives to decorate the Nativity scene to your liking. Of course, the lighting will still have to wait a few days.
2. Christmas market in Plaza de la Magdalena
The Plaza de la Magdalena will be filled with wooden huts between December 1, 2024 and January 6, 2025. Inside the huts there is an endless array of Christmas items, unique gifts, handicrafts, jewelry and gourmet products ideal for these dates.
Along with the products typical of Christmas markets will coexist gastronomic stalls (churros with chocolate, chestnuts, …) to harmonize your evening strolls.
3. Christmas souk in Maria Luisa Park
Sundays exist, as tradition dictates, to go out for a little while at noon. The most diverse plans are allowed for this, either a barbecue or a paella at a friend’s house, or a classic beers in the Salvador.
Or, as is the case, a stroll through the souk in the Parque de Maria Luisa. For the month of December a double date is expected, on December 14 and 15, 2024.
4. Free Mantecados and polvorones at the Alcazar
Every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas, visiting the Real Alcázar of Seville promises a traditional and sweetened experience. Mantecados and polvorones from Estepa will be given to its visitors free of charge.
The Regulatory Council of the denomination of origin of the mantecado de Estepa and polvorón de Estepa will be responsible for distributing the necessary samples.
A sweet exhibition that will enhance, even more if possible, the visibility of this product to foreign and domestic tourism.
5. Creative Crafts Fair
Seville will be able to enjoy another year of its Christmas market from December 5, 2024 to January 5, 2025 in the Cristina Gardens. On December 8 and 25 and January 1 will be closed.
The schedule, in short, is from 11:00 to 15:00 hours and from 17:00 to 21:00 hours. The Federation of Artisans of Seville (FAS) again organize this fair in collaboration with the City Council that will feature the participation of national and international artisan workshops.
6. Nervión Christmas Market
Christmas has gained in Seville few things are more evident than the arrival of traditional Christmas markets in the streets. One of the last to settle these dates is the Christmas Market of the Nervion District, installed next to El Corte Ingles since November 28.
You can visit this space, which offers customers and users a number of unique products for their artisanal origin, until January 5, 2025.
Along with its sweets, toys and Christmas details , food trucks will also be on display, offering classic victuals such as hamburgers and pizzas. Open from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m. every day.
