The profitability of a hotel business can take years to consolidate and, even if it is a landmark destination that treasures tradition in a place, nothing can promise its permanence in the same location forever. This is the case of the bar La Centuria that, as Diario de Sevilla indicates, will move in December to a few meters away, in Imagen street. The reason? Its current establishment will house new tourist apartments.
To the number of bars, cafes and restaurants forced to close in Seville must be added those that, like the bar La Centuria, are forced to change premises.
There are no regrets about the closure of this emblematic business dedicated to traditional breakfasts for 80 years and, nevertheless, there are already a handful of them that are gradually leaving the surroundings of the Setas.
Specifically, La Centuria will move to the arcades of Imagen Street on December 2 and the space it now occupies will house a restaurant and tourist apartments on the upper floors.
The opening hours of this iconic bar, as detailed in the newspaper, will remain unchanged, from 7:30 to 00:00 hours.
