Already in the twilight of September, Wednesday at noon and the new Voltereta in Seville is full of diners. A whole entourage of curious people complete the tables of this new trendy restaurant in the city.
Voltereta is a journey full of stimuli that we could condense in two premises that are making this place a success.
An incredible location designed to the millimeter to take us to Paris and a menu with popular prices that make it accessible to a wide audience.
The Valencian group has carved a niche for itself in the world of hospitality by creating authentic travel experiences in its restaurants. In Seville, they revalidate their ability to make going out to eat simulate taking a flight and stumbling upon a coquettish Parisian square.
To reach the heart of Voltereta you have to cross the reception, guarded by dozens of balls in the style of Inside Out souvenirs. Next, a room filled with color-changing suspended spheres and enchanting music.
Finally, in the great hall, one dares to say that we are indeed in Paris. An immense tree dominates the space and around it the various areas of the restaurant serve as a bookshop, a brasserie or a coquettish café.
The point is that each of these places is part of the common thread of Voltereta Sevilla: the love story between Emma and Antonie.
Even the bathroom comes with a surprise. An entrance that recreates the Paris subway stations in whose depths you will find the toilets and a photo booth.
The food at Voltereta
As for its gastronomic offer, Volteta Sevilla pivots between some traditional tapas, unfamiliar bites and nods to international cuisine.
The menu is dissected into petit plaisirs, a sort of appetizing bites; starters; a dozen main courses and desserts.
From a bao of Iberian secret or a truffled omelette, croquettes or oxtail bikini.
They prepare it crumbled with matured white cheddar, havarti and honeyed sauce and it is delicious.
And a bit of everything among the main courses: katsu curry, ravioli or a tataki of tuna from Lima, with a little bit of Gallic gastronomy among the dishes. The casserole or the French cheese platter or the entrecote café Paris.
The final touch is provided by the desserts, which include a colorful tiramisu, four kinds of cakes (Filipinos and white chocolate; oreo and cheese; creamy chocolate and baked cheese) and mango ice cream with berries and coconut zest.
How much does it cost to eat at the new trendy restaurant in Seville?
The good news, we anticipated, lies in its friendly prices. Tapas are around 4 € and starters and main courses are around 14 € on average. The entrecote is its most expensive product, reaching 19,90 €.
From the menu, the average ticket is between 25 and 30 euros per person.
All of them are a gastronomic journey full of inspiration, for the trips that Gonzalo, Carlos and Pablo have made throughout their lives and that nowadays they have transferred to the culinary offer of their restaurants.
