In this case, the Sevillian town recovers this popular tradition, organized by the Good Friday brotherhood. It is one of the most prestigious living nativity scenes in Andalusia, with 12,000 square meters and amazing decorations in 1,500 linear meters.
The dimensions of this crib grow year after year and form an itinerary with landscapes and passages as faithful as possible to the biblical narrative.
Rivers, waterfalls, bridges, a meticulous characterization of the characters and, of course, a musical harmonization with the most popular Christmas carols .
On this occasion, the Christmas experience will feature more than 300 extras in the different scenes, from the arrival of the Magi to the fields of Judea.
That of 2024 is the ninth edition of this cultural and artistic event that in its busiest editions came to receive more than 40,000 visitors. Specifically, the Living Nativity Scene will be located in the vicinity of the Church of San Pedro and its Almohad walls, a monument declared of Cultural Interest (BIC).
When is the Living Nativity Scene and how much does it cost?
The Living Nativity Scene of Sanlúcar la Mayor can be visited on December 6, 7, 8, 9, 14 and 15. Specifically, it will be open from 16:30 to 20:30.

A grand inaugural parade went through the streets of the historic center of Sanlúcar on the opening day, last December 6. The Columna y Azotes de las Cigarreras de Sevilla Bugle and Drum Band provided the music for the parade, a preamble to the inauguration of the Living Nativity Scene of Sanlúcar la Mayor.
