What better way to start the year than by attending a version of the popular Vienna New Year’s Concert, but with an Andalusian accent. As every year, the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville offers a repertoire tailored to the season, with Johann Strauss II usually taking center stage.
One of the best ways to start January in Seville and welcome 2026. This year it will be held on January 3 and 4 at 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively, at the Teatro de la Maestranza.

The Museum of Fine Arts is hosting an exhibition of pieces from the Hospital de la Santa Caridad and the Church of San Jorge, in connection with their restoration. For the first time, it brings together masterpieces by Murillo, Valdés Leal, Pedro Roldán, and Pedro Duque Cornejo.
The event, produced by the Regional Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Regional Government of Andalusia in collaboration with the Brotherhood of Santa Caridad, showcases the works of both artists, allowing them to be viewed from a more comfortable perspective than when they are installed in the church. Seventeen museum works that can be enjoyed until June 7, 2026.
Also, until March 15, 2026 , you can visit Los Bécquer, a lineage of artists at the Bellas Artes. This exhibition compiles the artistic production of this family and is curated by Manuel Piñanes García Olías.
Ice rinks

Although most of the ice rinks in Seville will remain open until Three Kings Day, it is still one of the best ways to start the month of January in the city. We break them down in detail: location, price, and features in our article.

When it comes to Christmas gifts, there is one rule that seems unbreakable. When you don’t know what to buy, you resort to pajamas or a wallet. Far from trite and impersonal options, we suggest some Christmas gifts with a focus on Seville.
Original gifts, with little or no clichés, that you can enjoy and share with your loved ones. From small gifts for Secret Santa, to details you can take to Christmas lunches or dinners, to memorable experiences.

The Chronology of Water, directed by Kristen Stewart, and Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague (January 9), 28 Years Later, and The Temple of Bones (January 16) will be showing in the first half of the month.
After the halfway point, other premieres are expected, such as Hamnet and La virgen de la Tosquera ( January 23). You can enjoy these and many other titles at Cines Yelmo, brought to you by Fever, spaces for true film lovers.
