
Apart from the historical gastronomic lists, the Macarfi Guide, which emerges with a more local, close and enthusiastic spirit, integrates for the first time Andalusia among its awards. Yesterday it celebrated its tenth edition in Barcelona, from which a good number of distinctions emerged within the eight communities it comprises.
Namely: Catalonia, Community of Madrid, Euskadi, La Rioja, Comunitat Valenciana, Andalusia, Cantabria and Principality of Asturias. The aim, in any case, is to cover the whole country by 2026.
This gastronomic vademecum distinguishes the best restaurants by region, the best openings of the year at national level and classifies, at local level, spaces by province, types of cuisine, decoration, service.
In addition, it also catalogs them according to their functionality or greatest virtue. In other words, restaurants are good because they attract a local clientele, have a chef’s table or specialize in a certain product, among others.

At the gala, the Rookies awards were also announced, a category that distinguishes the 15 best openings in Spain in the last year and among which four Andalusian (and one from Seville) sneaked in.
