In Seville, artisans keep ancient crafts alive, from pottery to designer jewelry, making this city one of the best destinations for those who love handmade pieces. In addition to the inspiring workshops, souks, and exhibitions, there is the 17th edition of the “Hecho en Sevilla” Creative Crafts Fair, now in its spring edition.
Organized by the Seville Craft Federation (FAS) in collaboration with the City Council, this event has established itself as the perfect place for those seeking more than just a simple object.
What will you find at this Seville Craft Fair?
A total of 37 artisan workshops are participating in this spring edition, divided into two shifts to offer the widest possible variety. The first shift runs through May 13, giving way to a new selection of artisans starting on the 15th.
Strolling through its stalls is like witnessing a display of mastery across a wide range of disciplines. Ceramics and pottery; jewelry that resembles small sculptures; leather and leather goods; or textiles and accessories, from painted silk to engraving techniques,
What makes ‘Hecho en Sevilla’ special is the guarantee of authenticity. Every piece on display has undergone a rigorous selection process that ensures it has been produced entirely in local workshops, steering clear of industrial manufacturing and generic souvenirs.
An open-air workshop next to the Cathedral
As for its location, the fair returns to the prime spot on Fray Ceferino González. That pedestrian passageway connects Seville Cathedral with the Archivo de Indias.
Attending this event, which runs through May 28, is an ideal opportunity to support local and community-based businesses, taking home a piece of Seville’s identity.
You can visit it from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
