Seville has served as the setting for a multitude of small screen projects, films (and Disney movies); Plaza España came to emulate a magic school for a well-known anime and even video games about some of the city’s traditions have been developed. Now, creating a Pokémon fangame inspired entirely in the city and in some corners of Andalusia with nods to its iconography and idiosyncrasy is another roll. Pokémon Hispalis’ brings all this together in its experience.
The actor and comedian Pablo Díaz, along with the illustrator Onofre Wayne, are responsible for creating this amazing Pokémon universe.

What Pokémon Hispalis looks like
Just a few days ago, Pablo Díaz shared in his social networks (also in @pokemonhispalis) the Pokémon Hispalis launch video. In it they detail some essential aspects of this fangame. Namely: it will be an open game and will be free to download and play.
The idea was forged during the months of pandemic under the premise of a dystopian Seville “ravaged by a lethal virus and immersed in a war between districts”. Players will walk through the streets of the city and some of its iconic attractions.
But it doesn’t stop there. Among its many goodnesses with Sevillian seal stand out the characters, 150 creatures and appearances as own as Curro, Juan y Medio, Lopera or Sergio Ramos.
The result is a demo with four playable hours that crosses four districts and the possibility of completing a pokédex of the most particular.
