Seville boasts a very rich gastronomy and a hospitality offer ranging from tapas bars, to consecrated temples of haute cuisine and even jewels like this one, distinguished as the best restaurant with sustainable essence of the country: La Tizná .
It has happened in the framework of the III Edition of the Awards with Essence of the hand of American Express. A recognition that focuses on small locals scattered throughout the Spanish geography.
At the time, distinguish two categories: Sustainable Essence, focused on organic products, origin and seasonal, and Innovative Essence, which lend themselves to the most avant-garde techniques. Also, both distinctions are divided into restaurants with average ticket under 50 € and over 50 €.
Specifically, the award winners were:
- Innovative Essence: Frontera Restaurant (Tobarra, Albacete) and Arcano (Barcelona).
- Sustainable Essence: Cau de L’Ateneu (Manresa) and La Tizná (Seville).
La Tizná’s proposal
The gala was held at the Hotel Eurostars Suites Mirasierra in Madrid. As for the jury, it was composed of chef and presenter Samantha Vallejo-Nágera; chef, popularizer and professor at the BCC, Xabier Gutiérrez and food journalist Amaya García Ortiz de Jocano.
La Tizná, which has the organic certification of the CAAE and selected as a sustainable destination by the Singular Place platform and a Solete Repsol, has established itself as a benchmark of responsible gastronomy in Seville .
