Lanterns, sevillanas, and Andalusian tapas. Broadly speaking, the April Fair could be summed up in these three elements, which are nothing less than color, music, and gastronomy. Although the Real is not the only venue hosting this festival. Seville’s iconic Hotel Alfonso XIII is once again joining in the celebrations surrounding this big week and will host a small Feria de Abril at its facilities from April 21 to 26.
As has become tradition, the hotel’s iconic tiled courtyard will be transformed into one of the Real’s casetas and will also host “pescaíto night.” Thus, on Monday, April 20, it will host a dinner designed for the occasion and a rociero choir to liven up the evening.
Feria Menu at the Alfonso XIII
Sevillians, Sevillanas, and visitors alike will be able to enjoy a menu inspired by the flavors of the fair in this picturesque setting . It is designed for sharing and will be available from 12:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
The event will feature daily musical performances and a traditional live ham-cutting ceremony.
This special tasting menu features appetizers such as seasoned potatoes, shrimp salad, 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham, and a selection of cheeses, including the standout Payoyo.

This will be followed by heartier dishes such as an Andalusian fried platter. In this case, it will include anchovies, pijotas, cuttlefish, baby squid, marinated meat, and Padrón peppers.
Rounding out the savory offerings are a few hot dishes such as the classic whiskey-glazed sirloin with panadera potatoes or potato omelet with aioli.
The experience will be rounded out with an assortment of artisanal pastries. The price of the dinner is €95 per person and includes wine.
‘Pescaíto’ dinner menu
Likewise, on April 20, ” Fish Monday,” it will host an evening featuring live music by a flamenco choir to round out the night.
The menu will include a selection of typical appetizers such as gordal olives, fried almonds, white shrimp from Huelva, and a tomato salad from Los Palacios with green onions and capers, dressed with extra virgin olive oil from Osuna.
For the main course, a traditional Andalusian fried dish will be served, featuring anchovies, Sevillian-style marinated meat, baby squid, and Padrón peppers. And to finish, artisan pastries.
How much does this seafood dinner cost?
The seafood dinner is priced at €110 per person (VAT included) and includes house wines, beer, soft drinks, mineral water, half a bottle of manzanilla per person, and rebujito.
The Alfonso XIII is one of Spain’s most iconic luxury hotels, a Regionalist-style building designed by José Espiau, located between the Puerta de Jerez, the Palacio de San Telmo, and the Tobacco Factory.
Due to its beauty and historical significance, it continues to host prominent figures and serve as a filming location for TV series and movies.
