The fact that Jerez can boast of ancestral wines is not an obstacle to forget the winemaking tradition that the city of Seville, little by little, manages to recover. In this regard, Seville has a good number of wine bars, stores and wine bars that experienced and novice palates will be delighted to discover.
And it is not necessary to know planting formulas, understand malolactic fermentation or differentiate a foudre from a barrel or other bravado that is best left to those who are truly dedicated to the world of wine.
The rest of us mortals should ideally let ourselves get carried away until we know what our preferences are. For this purpose, the ideal is to approach these spaces that provide us with knowledge, conversation and the possibility of tasting wines of all kinds.
Seville, in its landscape of bars and restaurants, also integrates locals around wine, wine shops and stores whose aim is to put them in value.
1. Lama the grape

Lama la Uva needs no introduction. Those who do not know it, however, should know that it compiles wines and tapas, a tasting space and now, also, a menu paired by them. All this with the virtue of its strategic location next to the Setas.
Of course, you can also lose yourself in its shelves, buy bottles and ask your questions to Ana Linares, responsible for this space around wine.
Some of the snacks that are presented in Lama la uva are the pulled pork curry burger with Iberian bacon, the papas arrugás de pepita with mojo palmero of almonds or their torrezno tacos with Bourbon sauce.
Distinguished with a Solete Repsol it has become one of the essential enotecas for profiles of all kinds in Seville. In short, enjoyment is guaranteed if you give yourself to the drink or the deployment of their experiences.

3. La Cata
Sommelier Abraham Harillo is at the helm of this project in the heart of the Arenal neighborhood. La Cata is a whole display of wines by the glass, an unusual space where to surrender to its many references.
Every month they hold different events and pairing tastings around different gastronomic concepts, recipes and seasonal ingredients.
Their next experience will take place on July 17 at 8:30 pm and will focus on Japanese dishes and their pairing possibilities with four sparkling wines.

5. Manolo Cateca’s Tavern
The Taberna de Manolo Cateca is far from any sophisticated concept. At least as far as its appearance is concerned. What they say their wines are much more interesting, those that ooze solera on all four sides. Hundreds of references and a good number of labels from the Marco and other areas of Andalusia.
A traditional bar with Iberian cured meats, smoked meats, stews, montaditos and cold meats ideal to accompany your finos and manzanillas.

6. Vinoqüe
Abacería, cheeses and wines is a triad whose quality can be inversely proportional to its price. Not so in Vinoqüe, where you can enjoy authentic delicacies at reasonable prices in the heart of Seville.
Tastings, tapas and a casual atmosphere hidden in the network of streets between Magdalena and Plaza Nueva.
Cold meats, cold tapas, great denominations of national origin and a lively terrace since 2023.
