The 2026 Seville April Fair is set to be the most expensive edition in history, with rising temperatures and clear skies. Given this scenario, it’s worth checking the forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) to choose the most appropriate flamenco dress—whether a short dress or an elegant gown. The forecast calls for a week of stable weather, but with unseasonably high temperatures for this time of year.
Highs of up to 36°C: An almost summer-like start to the Feria
Although in other years the fair has been rained out, this time you won’t need to leave your fans behind. The first days of the festival will be affected by a surge of warm air and the presence of a high-pressure system that will push temperatures well above Seville’s historical average (24°C).
During the first few days, highs will range between 33°C and 36°C. At night, however, lows will be pleasant, cooling down to 14°C or 15°C.
As the week progresses, the heat is expected to ease slightly, stabilizing around 27°C.
Tips for surviving the heat at the Real
With highs nearing 34°C, the crowds and the type of clothing may take their toll. We recommend:
- Stay hydrated: Especially during the middle of the day.
- Take advantage of the early afternoon hours for meals in the shade.
- Use sunscreen throughout the day, especially if you plan to go horseback riding.
Stable weather seems guaranteed, making this April Fair of 2026 one of the hottest and driest in recent years.
Will it rain during the April Fair?
Just a few days ago, the news was excellent for those who dread wet sand. However, the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has confirmed a change in the weather for the final weekend of the April Fair in 2026.
After several days of sun and heat, unstable weather is arriving in Seville just in time for the big closing days.
The first showers are expected to arrive on Friday afternoon, with the probability increasing significantly after 6:00 p.m.
Saturday will be the most challenging day. The AEMET forecasts overcast skies and a 90% to 100% chance of precipitation for most of the day. The rain could be accompanied by occasional thunderstorms.
Along with the rain, the thermometers will offer some relief, with highs dropping from 30°C to milder temperatures around 24°C–25°C.
On Sunday, the stable weather returns, though cloud cover will persist; however, the chance of rain will gradually decrease, allowing for a somewhat calmer day of festivities.
