Don’t be fooled by the drop in temperatures; summer has only really kicked into high gear in recent weeks. So much so that the municipal swimming pools are working hard to keep up, and the one in Gines even allowed nighttime swimming for two consecutive days. However, this isn’t the only initiative aimed at making these spaces—which offer a respite from the summer heat—more accessible. To drastically cut seasonal prices, Marinaleda has opened its municipal pools with an unprecedented rate: a full-season pass for just 10 euros.
A summer oasis at a symbolic price
The town’s City Council opened the doors to its aquatic complex on Monday, June 22. As Mayor Sergio Gómez Reyes explained, this measure aims to ensure that summer and relaxation do not become a luxury, guaranteeing access to all residents under a philosophy of community and equality.

Marinaleda Municipal Pool: Opening Hours
The facility includes two pools ideal for beating the heat, a very large landscaped area, and water play areas for the little ones.
The complex will remain open all week. From Monday through Friday, it will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and until 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
