The temperature roller coaster will reach its peak in the coming days, hitting 39 degrees in some towns across the province. Before the temperature plummets—it will drop by nearly ten degrees on Thursday—tropical nights are on the horizon, making it nearly impossible to fall asleep.
The Gines City Council has reacted immediately to the drastic rise in temperatures by bringing forward the return of its now-legendary “White Nights.”
On the nights of Tuesday, June 23, and Wednesday, June 24, the town’s Municipal Pool will open its doors at night, with special hours so that residents can take a dip under the stars.

The event kicks off just as the sun begins to set, offering an evening of family togetherness and cool relief. From 9:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., the Gines Municipal Pool, located within the town’s sports complex, will be open to the public.
Admission is 100% free; however, access is limited exclusively to residents registered in the town as a measure to help combat the nights of extreme heat.
To ensure the safety of all attendees, you’re welcome to bring food from home to eat on the lawn, but remember the golden rule: glass containers are not allowed.
This initiative, which has been held for nine years, will continue to take place whenever necessary, according to the town’s mayor.
