Summer reserves its nights for the most refreshing activities and promises a traditional treat designed for everyone. Thinking of sunflower seeds, snack packs, and folding chairs takes us straight to the summer movie theaters—magnetic and ever-popular year after year in Seville.
Lovers of the seventh art (and, incidentally, of soundtracks) are in for a treat with the arrival of the first summer lineups, but so are those who enjoy hanging out in the cool evening air and munching on some good sunflower seeds while watching a movie.
The Sevillian sky will bear witness to this film season thanks to these summer movie theaters in Seville in 2025.

The Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art (CAAC), under the Regional Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Andalusian Regional Government, presents a new edition of its summer film series
. This edition will be curated in 2026 by the Seville European Film Festival (SeFF).
The screenings take place at 10:00 p.m. and stand out not only because they’re free until capacity is reached, but also because of the excitement they generate among the city’s film buffs, who are eager for high-quality independent films.

Starting June 25, at least twenty films of all kinds will be screened in this iconic courtyard. The major releases from the past year, arthouse films, seasonal hits, and award-winning films from international festivals.
A program that has been refreshing its lineup for 29 years at what was once the Puerta de la Carne barracks.
Screenings begin at 10:15 p.m., though doors open at 9:15 p.m. Here are the first films to be shown this June.

Head to the former Salesian school on Conde de Bustillo to find this venue—designed for all kinds of performances—right next to the Triana Theater.
There’s a snack bar on site where you can stock up on soft drinks, beers, and “montaditos” to enjoy during your outings in the neighborhood.
As for the summer cinema at El Patio de Triana, two children’s films are currently scheduled. The screenings are as follows:

Summer Cinema in Dos Hermanas

Throughout the month of July, the Dos Hermanas area will regain its splendor with a selection of free screenings.
Films for the whole family and other notable premieres of 2026 will be available to enjoy in the coming weeks. The event takes place at the Los del Río Auditorium, where you’re also welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy on the lawn.
Screenings are scheduled for 10:30 p.m., and admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9:30 p.m.

Summer Cinema in Bellavista-La Palmera

The Seville City Council is once again focusing on the city’s neighborhoods, which had seen their summer movie theaters dwindle or disappear. The Bellavista-La Palmera district is offering a lineup from June 24 to August 20.
- Campeonex – June 25 in the Pedro Salvador neighborhood
- Sonic 3 – July 9 at Los Naranjitos
- Who’s Who? – July 23 at the Jardines de Hércules
- Beauty and the Beast (2017) – August 6 at the Paseo del Parque Guadaíra
- Elio – August 20 on the Paseo de Europa
Summer Cinema in the Macarena District

Summer cinema comes to the Macarena district as part of “An August of Cinema” for the third consecutive year, featuring four screenings.
While we don’t yet know which films will be screened this year, we do know that the venues will be Plaza de San Gabriel, Plaza Marqués de Lozoya, Plaza Otelo, and the El Pinar Association, located in the Campos de Soria neighborhood.
Movies Under the Stars at Cerro-Amate

Meanwhile, the Cerro-Amate district will host two consecutive screenings at the end of June.
- *Super Charlie*, on Friday, June 26, at 10:00 p.m. in the Santa Aurelia neighborhood, at Pasaje María Santísima de la Caridad.
- *El Casoplón* will be screened on Saturday, June 27, at 10:00 p.m. at Parque Forja XXI in La Negrilla.
Summer Cinema at “Veranillos del Alamillo” (to be confirmed in 2026)

One of Seville’s green lungs is bringing back its traditional summer program with the “Veranillos del Alamillo.” We’ll still have to wait to find out what this open-air edition will be like and which films it will feature.
