Courtyards decked out to host concerts, guided sunset tours, cultural evenings in the province… Summer in Seville moves at a different pace, and as evening falls, the city transforms to offer outdoor or intimate events. The Cathedral Chapter is drawing on its resources and, in addition to the rooftop tours, has scheduled a concert at the imposing church of the Hospital de los Venerables.
Next Wednesday, July 29, at 8:30 p.m., this centrally located church will open its doors to host an evening concert. An event designed specifically for the summer season that invites attendees to discover one of the great jewels of Sevillian Baroque from a spiritual, relaxed, and magical perspective.
A two-part journey: history and organ music
The evening will not be a typical concert, but rather an immersive experience divided into two acts that will take you on a journey through time.
- Heritage Tour. Before the first notes are played, a Heritage Guide will lead attendees on a brief guided tour to reveal the secrets, symbolism, and Baroque iconography preserved within the building.
- Historic organ concert. As a grand finale, the church will host a sacred recital designed to make the most of its unique acoustics and showcase the church’s historic organ.
