The Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council is reviving its summer nights in the province with the return of Noctaíra 2026. This well-established cultural festival, which stands out for being free and suitable for all ages, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year under the slogan “10 Years Lighting Up the Nights of Alcalá.”
The festival, which kicked off on July 2 and 3 with concerts by David Civera and Nena Daconte, will run through next Saturday, September 12.
Its goal remains the same: to promote heritage tourism, liven up summer evenings, and offer an unbeatable leisure option for both local residents and visitors from Seville and the surrounding areas.
With a lineup of some fifty cultural events, the festival will bring the town’s most iconic venues to life through music, theater, circus performances, and its famous guided tours. Cristopher Rivas, the Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council’s delegate for Tourism and Culture, noted:
Here’s how the Noctaíra 2026 program is organized
To make sure you don’t miss a thing during these three months of outdoor culture, the schedule for this tenth edition has been organized according to the day of the week and the historic venue:
- On Tuesdays, the much-anticipated dramatized night tours of Oromana Park return.
- Concerts at Alcalá Castle will be held every Wednesday. In addition, this year (2026) features a spectacular new artistic lighting display and will host intimate musical performances of jazz, blues, soul, and singer-songwriter music (such as Amparo Lagares on July 8 or the “Lope” project on the 15th).
- Theater for adults, on Thursdays. The Castillo stage will host top-notch plays such as *Dopaland*, *Las de William*, *Victoria Kent*, and *The True Story of Madame Duval*.
- Flamenco Fridays. The terrace of the Centro San Miguel will be transformed into an open-air tablao featuring performances by artists such as Matías López, Rubén Romero, and Isidora O’Ryan, in collaboration with the Peña Flamenca El Arrabal.
- Children will have their own special events on Wednesdays, July 29, August 5, and August 12 at 10:30 p.m., featuring circus performances and children’s theater such as *Imaginando el Quijote* and acrobatics by the Circo Alas troupe.
The grand finale: San Miguel Night
As is the undisputed tradition of the Sevillian summer, the successful Night of San Miguel, to be held on Saturday, September 12, will bring these three months of activity to a close.
In true “Noche en Blanco” style, the streets, squares, and nooks and crannies of the charming San Miguel neighborhood will be transformed into a giant, simultaneous stage.
Flamenco, the neighborhood’s unique character, and the most distinctive performing arts acts will come together in a magical evening, with the detailed program to be unveiled throughout the summer.
