There are many ways to get to know a city like Seville, which offers a wide range of possibilities: free plans, high gastronomy or secret places. As far as unique visits are concerned, there is one visit in particular that continues to surprise and seduce the city’s own residents: discovering the roofs of the Cathedral of Seville.
This visit, in charge of the Cabildo, reveals, literally, the entrails of the Sevillian temple, the most genuine, secret and spectacular spaces to admire its monumentality from the heights. From May 1 this guided tour recovers its evening sessions, visits at dusk to ascend to the roofs of the Cathedral .
An activity that adds to the summer plans also proposed by the Real Alcázar. Such as the musical program of its Alcazar Nights and the dramatized visits at sunset.

What does the tour consist of?
The visitor will ascend, through the skeleton of the Cathedral, up to three levels on the roofs of the Cathedral. Throughout the tour, the guide in question will give the keys to the construction of this Gothic temple, the largest in Europe.
A journey through time by the hand of the main architects of this mighty building: architects, stonemasons and masons.
This is what the Cabildo itself points out: “this is a unique opportunity to learn about the history of the construction of this great Gothic building.
A journey through the main characters: architects, stonemasons, masons, carpenters, blacksmiths and laborers who left their mark on the stones and bricks that make up the building“.

“Nights at the Cathedral”: all visits.

The Cathedral of Seville offers visitors a different experience, away from the massification, in order to promote quality tourism. For this purpose, and along with its iconic night tours to the roofs, it has designed these other activities:
- Wooden Gospel: a dramatized visit around the altarpiece, which is otherwise the largest in Christianity sculpted in gilded wood.
- De Profundis: an intimate tour of the tombs of the archbishops, including exceptional access to the crypt of the Sagrario Parish and live sacred music.
- For its part, Projecting History is an immersive audiovisual experience that turns the cathedral walls into a canvas.
Both activities encourage overnight stays and decentralized schedules and you can find more information in this leaflet.
