Andalusia has the power to evoke summer images that go beyond the coastline and inland beaches, as demonstrated by the myriad of evening events Seville hosts throughout the summer. The Noctaíra Festival in Alcalá de Guadaíra, the well-known nights—at theAlcázar, the Marqueses de la Algaba, or Cajasol—or, as we’re here to highlight, the “Cultural Summer” celebrated in Carmona.
This heritage gem of the province has unveiled an enticing program hidden within the “Music and Heritage” series, which will fill its most magical corners with free music through September.
The premise is unbeatable: 15 completely free concerts that blend jazz, flamenco, rock, and zarzuela against the backdrop of the town’s imposing monumental architecture.
Historic monuments are transformed into stages
Far from large venues, the charm of this series lies in where the music is heard. The live performances will take place at some of Carmona’s most spectacular locations:
- The majestic Palacio de los Briones.
- The Convent of Santa Clara.
- The historic Roman Necropolis.
- Open spaces brimming with life, such as the Alameda Alfonso XIII or the Puerta de Sevilla.
- The Church of San Francisco, the Church of San Antón, and Rafael Durán Arjona Park (in Guadajoz).
