The sandwiches, excellent canvas on which to catch ingredients at our free will, have their own national competition since last year. The II edition of the Campeonato de España de Bocatas ® returns this 2025 and it is already known which establishments will participate from Seville.
In 2024 the proposal of La Bicicleta, in Dos Hermanas, was positioned as the best sandwich of Andalusia and in this second edition returns to participate. Dulmi is the other bet from Seville.
Participating sandwiches from Seville
- The distinguished burger Dulmi, in East Seville, postulates with one of its classics. The Baguett Dulmi, on its menu since 1982, consists of lettuce, tomato, grilled egg, chicken, york ham, dumi sauce and fries.
- For its part, La Bicicleta presents Tango. It is a sandwich whose bread is handmade and integrates pesto, pistachio mortadella, burrata, pistachio cream, lemon zest, lettuce, cherry tomato and pistachio nuts.
Spanish Bocata Championship: voting mechanism
The voting procedure is simple. Each establishment will give a code to the diners who have ordered the participating sandwich.
On the website of the Spanish Championship they will be able to search for the sandwich in question and rate it accordingly. For the rest, voters will participate in the draw for an iPhone 16 if they follow the contest’s networks on Facebook and Instagram.
From there, the jury will ponder which will be the winner of this edition, from among the most popular sandwiches.
Those interested in tasting the Sevillian proposals will be able to vote between April 3 and May 4.
