Summer movie theaters standardize summer nights in most Spanish towns. The magic of cinema moves from the theater seats and armchairs at home to conquer outdoor spaces, beach chairs, giant screens and snacks in the form of pipes and other packages to harmonize the evening. As happens in the Patio de la Diputación de Sevilla, where every summer hundreds of spectators are summoned to enjoy the initiative Asómate al Patio.
From June 25 to September 7, 75 films of all kinds will be screened in this emblematic courtyard. The great premieres of the last year, auteur films, seasonal hits or those awarded at international festivals.
An agenda that renews its offer for 28 years in what was once the barracks of the Puerta de la Carne.
The screenings will begin at 10:15 p.m., although doors will open at 9:15 p.m. In August and September, however, the festival will be open from 9:00 p.m. onwards.
In August and September, however, it is possible that the sessions will start, as in other editions, at 22:00 hours. With regard to the capacity of this courtyard, it is prepared to accommodate up to 900 seats, distributed in rows and also at tables in the ambiguous area.
Tickets no longer retain their usual price, this year will be paid at € 4.50 per session, and can be purchased through the website of Asómate al patio or at its headquarters.

This film series that will continue during the months of July and August kicks off on June 25 with Atín Aya: Portrait of Silence. Other winners and Goya Award nominees such as El 47, Casa en llamas, La luz que imaginamos or La infiltrada will follow.
But the films of the Spanish film festival will not be the only ones to gather in the courtyards of Diputación. It is worth adding to this proposal other interesting feature films such as Aún estoy aquí, the Brazilian distinguished as best foreign film at the last edition of the Oscars; Sorrentino’s Parthenope ; Cónclave or Emilia Pérez.

‘Asómate al patio’ is combined during the month of August with the ‘Veranillos del Alamillo’ that bring together, along with the usual projections, musical bingos and free workshops for the whole family.
