One of the biggest tediums that a city like Seville faces is the continuous exposure of public works, which raise streets as busy as it did in Mateos Gago, affecting multiple levels to neighbors and businesses in both ways. At first it was estimated that the Zaragoza Street, a work that started in the beginning of April, would last until August 31. .
With the arrival of September, the one that connects Reyes Católicos with Jimios is still up, preventing popular establishments such as Amara, Bar Moraleja, Nostromo or Taberna de Alabardero to run their day to day normally.
And is that, according to information detailed in the Diario de Sevilla, the work of Zaragoza street will be extended until the end of November. At least, they say, the section from Puerta Triana to Badajoz street. For the work on Jimios and Madrid street to be completed, it will be necessary to wait until Easter 2025, according to municipal sources.
The work in question includes the renovation of the water supply and sewage networks, the installation of a new drainage network and the improvement of the paving and accessibility as well as the incorporation of shade trees.
Both works, carried out by the Seville City Council through Emasesa, have a budget of 2,105,763 €.
