Tradevo’s lemon-marinated anchovies and catch of the day—priced according to market conditions and fried using organic flours—make this Sevillian restaurant’s fried seafood one of its biggest draws. Now, Tradevo Centro is making a strategic shift and closing its doors on Cuesta del Rosario to make way for a new and enticing venture led by Chef Gonzalo Jurado himself: Pez Globo.
Fans of his fried dishes, take note: the brand is consolidating its presence at its flagship location in Nervión and handing the reins in the city center to this new venture, which will transform the downtown venue into a Sevillian beer hall and fried-food spot. Here’s everything to look forward to.
Tradevo is focusing on Nervión
The closure of Tradevo in the city center is nothing more than a natural transition. After a decade of success in the city center, the project is returning exclusively to its roots.
- Single location. From now on, all of the brand’s culinary magic will be concentrated at the Tradevo in Nervión (Avenida Diego Martínez Barrio, 10).
The neighborhood that saw this concept come to life in 2010 will continue to host the restaurant, keeping its signature style intact: that traditional yet evolving cuisine, obsessed with the ingredients, that has won over Sevillian palates. Gonzalo Jurado clarifies that:
This is what Pez Globo will be like: the new contemporary fried food spot in downtown Seville
And what about the Cuesta del Rosario location? It certainly won’t be empty for long. After a few weeks of renovations, which are already underway, the space will reopen as Pez Globo.
Gonzalo Jurado isn’t cutting ties with the venue; rather, he’s giving free rein to a new creative venture in the form of a contemporary Sevillian beer hall and fried-food spot.
The star of the show will be Andalusian fried seafood, the undisputed queen of the menu, but reinterpreted with a modern, urban, and meticulously crafted approach. Jurado notes that:
We’ll have to keep a close eye on the coming weeks to find out the exact opening date of Pez Globo, but one thing is certain: in Nervión, the dining experience remains top-notch.
