Andalusia takes advantage of the unique summer climate to make the most of the evenings and turn them into coveted cultural and culinary destinations. Summer movie theaters dot the city streets and are a staple in every town; festivals, fairs, and religious processions add a festive touch to these gala evenings, and with so many options to choose from, what better than the moon to bear witness to musical or culinary evenings like the one we’re discussing: the pavías of Tomares.
The Aljarafe municipality is following suit with its summer program and reviving one of its tastiest traditions: its popular event dedicated to the classic “soldaditos” made with cod and hake.
Dates, times, and a menu with affordable prices

The Jardines del Conde at Tomares City Hall once again serve as the idyllic backdrop for this event. The event is organized by the women of the Hermandad Sacramental and takes place every Friday and Saturday from June 26 through August 8, 2026.
This annual culinary series kicks off at 9:00 p.m., offering great music under the stars to liven up the evenings and, of course, an assortment of traditional dishes at prices you won’t find anywhere else.
- What can you enjoy as tapas? Crispy pavías, ensaladilla, pinchitos, carne mechá, or its traditional Veracruz (a montadito that’s pure bliss: steak, salmorejo, and ham).
- The crown jewel. Be sure to order “la camiseta,” a pavía wrapped in a paper-thin, crispy layer of flour.
As has become customary with each edition, all proceeds raised during the “Las pavías de Tomares” season will be allocated entirely to the maintenance of the Brotherhood and its social welfare programs to assist the most disadvantaged families.
The ultimate plan for July and August evenings
With temperatures rising in the capital’s city center, escaping to the Aljarafe at sunset has become the favorite ritual of locals and visitors alike.
Whether you’re looking to grab a quick bite with the family, meet up with friends after work, or simply enjoy the cool shade of the greenery in the Jardines del Conde, this corner of Tomares proves that you don’t have to spend a fortune to treat yourself to a perfect summer night.
Bonus itinerary: Where can you find the best pavías in Seville?

Marinated, battered, and perfectly fried—this unbeatable combination, let’s face it, isn’t always easy to pull off. If you’re left wanting more or want to plan a culinary tour of the capital, the options are endless.
Although there are hundreds of bars in Seville, at Sevilla Secreta we suggest you seek out the great temples of tradition. Places like the timeless and unbeatable El Rinconcillo or the bars in San Lorenzo to savor what is, without a doubt, one of the star dishes of the Sevillian summer: the perfect pavía.
