A kind of haze with patches of smoke and a unique fog dressed the sky in many regions of Spain, Seville among them, in light of the number of forest fires that have been happening in recent weeks.
To the Sevillians, as well as the neighbors of many immediate localities and in the mountains, did not escape the smell of burning and 112 intercepted a multitude of calls throughout the afternoon.

Experts point out that the suspended particles, ashes and microparticles released by the fire act as condensation nuclei in the atmosphere, favoring the formation of low clouds and fog. This phenomenon, far from bringing respite, accentuates the sensation of heat, because the hot air is trapped close to the ground.
Likewise, official health recommendations call for staying indoors, closing doors and windows and avoiding physical activity outdoors.
