‘Batalla de restaurantes’, one of Alberto Chicote’s headings in La Sexta, is preparing a new season, which will include Seville among its destinations. According to ABC de Sevilla, Seville is expected to host the filming on June 4, between 9:00 and 11:00 am in various locations in the city.
It is known that the selected spaces will be the surroundings of the Cathedral of Seville, the Plaza de San Francisco, the Plaza de España or the Muelle de la Sal and its surroundings.
What will ‘Restaurant Battle’ in Seville consist of?
The premise of the program is simple. Four restaurants in Seville will compete to win 10,000 euros. Each of them will serve Chicote and the other three diners -they are, by the way, the owners, partners or chefs of the other contestant restaurants- a meal including the typical local dish chosen by ‘Batalla de restaurantes’.
At the end of the meal, all participants will weigh the experience considering the categories of space, cuisine, food, service and price. Chicote will also participate in the evaluation process, although it will not be known until the end of the program. His score, in fact, may vary significantly and modify the final result.
Naturally, the winner is the one who obtains the best score and will be revealed after a sharing session led by Alberto Chicote.
This is the third season, which has already passed through several Andalusian restaurants. Cordoba and Malaga were present in the edition that was broadcasted last January.
Fusión Lío, Tu Pescaíto, Patio Romano and Misa de 12 participated in the Caliphate city, where the traditional dish was the taro tail. Malaga did the same, pitting the restaurants Taró, Sacaba Mar, La Sal y el Son and Marisquería Moy against each other to find the best fried fish in the city.
As for Seville, we will have to wait to find out which typical dish will be the protagonist of the program and the participating restaurants.
