Seville, like any other city, is often best savored through the activities locals enjoy rather than by ticking off the must-sees in guidebooks—though those are worth checking out too. When it comes to the former, Seville hides a whole network of micro-experiences designed for all audiences: from a graveyard of Expo ’92 curros to exclusive sweet treats.
In the following lines, we’ll break down those plans you didn’t expect to find in the city and that will let you experience it from a different perspective.

Trivialaso at Bar Cuatro Gatos

Much more than just a bar, Cuatro Gatos is a gathering place and an undeniable hub of activity in the San Julián neighborhood. Inside, they host stand-up comedy nights, Carnival celebrations, live music, and the popular (though not yet widely known) Trivialaso.
This fun initiative is as enticing as it sounds. It’s a sort of Trivial Pursuit with a few twists. About twenty questions that go beyond the classic categories of the original game.
Participants face questions on art, geography, or history, a math challenge, guessing the right price of various items, or trying to figure out what happens next in a Bollywood scene projected on-site. All of this, as you might guess, is delivered with a healthy dose of humor and hosted by Suso Cármerez.
Trivialaso is usually held on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m., though there are themed nights and even an extended version with 45 questions.
The game costs €3 per person for teams of 2 to 4 participants. You can sign up by sending a message via Trivialaso’s social media, indicating the date, name, and number of participants.
By the way, this modern ritual pairs perfectly with popcorn and the montaditos from Cuatro Gatos, and the winning team gets a prize.
That said, as Suso already anticipates, the best part is celebrating mediocrity.
One of the best micro-experiences Seville has to offer, and one that is gradually gaining a loyal following.
Blind Date at Checkpoint Arcade Bar

Arcade Bar combines several foolproof leisure elements: board games, arcade machines, language exchanges, and big Trivial Pursuit games.
These aren’t, however, the only offerings from Checkpoint. Among them, the boldest stands out: the speed dating events they usually hold every Tuesday.
There are several categories: mixed, guys only, girls only, as well as by age group. Namely: 20–30, 25–35, 30–40, 35–45, or 50–60 years old.
All of this makes this spot an original and fun meeting place on the lively Calle Feria.
The boat that takes you to the Seville Fair for free

Another micro-experience that not everyone knows about—but which is nonetheless a ton of fun—is the Legendario boat that takes you to the April Fair for free.
This stroll along the Guadalquivir transforms the journey to the Real into a full-fledged party. The company has been organizing these walks for the general public completely free of charge for 15 years, offering the first drinks before arriving at Los Remedios.
Live music, a fair-like atmosphere, and entertainment during the lantern festival.
The route, which takes about 20 minutes, usually starts at the Torre del Oro and ends at the Puente de las Delicias between 3:30 PM and 9:00 PM.
Take part in the ‘La Velá’ cucaña in Triana

The Velá de Santa Ana blooms in Triana around July, like a breath of fresh air amid the sweltering heat.
This neighborhood in Seville opens its doors to the public with one of its biggest celebrations, a week-long festival that aims to immortalize the afternoons and evenings with sports tournaments and memorable performances along the Guadalquivir River.
Of all the activities offered by this major event in Triana, one of the Velá’s most popular attractions is the cucaña game.
This monumental log awaits intrepid spirits and draws together a few others who make the pilgrimage to the riverbank so as not to miss a single performance.
The premise of the cucaña is simple. Those who take on this challenge must climb the log—placed on a boat and smeared with bait—until they reach the flag at the other end of the log without falling into the river.
Discover the rooftops of the Cathedral

When it comes to unique tours, there is one in particular that continues to surprise and captivate even the city’s own residents: exploring the rooftops of Seville Cathedral.
This tour, organized by the Cabildo, literally reveals the inner workings of the Sevillian cathedral, showcasing its most authentic, secret, and spectacular spaces so you can admire its grandeur from above.
