A new DANA (Isolated High Level Depression) will reach Andalusia and Seville from Wednesday, November 13. While the heaviest rainfall is expected in the southwest of the peninsula, especially the coast of Malaga, Seville will experience a significant drop in temperatures in the coming days.
Thus, the days of Wednesday and Thursday Seville will record highs of 17 degrees and lows of 10 and 11 degrees, respectively. In addition, there is likelihood of weak frosts in some localities of the Sierra.
Heavy rainfall by the DANA in the province of Malaga
The meteorological instability will hit the province of Malaga with greater intensity, where orange warnings have already been activated in some areas.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) shared a statement announcing heavy rainfall for the days of Wednesday and Thursday, in light of this new DANA. The authority specifies that could reach 180 liters per square meter and “very heavy rainfall, with the likelihood of being locally torrential and even persistent.”
In addition, they urge the population of the most affected areas to keep informed on official channels so as not to miss updates and more concrete information as the hours go by.
