There are festivals that hook and cities that are like a spell. When there is the possibility that both concepts come together, few destinations are revealed in the imagination as Seville does. INSÓLITO emerges as a breath of fresh air to bring a new musical input to autumn. And Lolailand is one of its most anticipated cycles.
And so because it comprises a good amount of things to like. The concept is a rumba party and the meeting point is the Port of Seville, a brutal outdoor location or, as they point out from the organization, “the most rogue, free and danceable stage of the fall.”
Over two days, Lolailand will try to break the molds, combining the energy of the rave with sounds of popular folklore .
Lolailand’s program
- Maita Vende Cá, the group led by Antonio Luis Caña, will open the event. He will be followed by the broken voice of José el Francés and will close Enrique Heredia ‘Negri’ excomponent of La Barbería del Sur.
- The second day of the event will feature the Salazar sisters, Azúcar Moreno; Taíno and Jere from Los Chunguitos and Sara from Las Chuches.
Artists from different generations whose proposals have gone from hits to become legends at the turn of the century.
The new dates are yet to be announced.
Both performances will take place in the afternoon in order to take advantage of the last sketches of light of October, that spring autumn that abandons the city.
“The location is not causal. The Port of Seville, the only inland seaport in Spain, a space of transit, exchange and industrial memory, with enormous poetic and scenographic potential, becomes, with these concerts, a symbol of a new way of experiencing culture in the city.”
On the Insólito website you can find all the information and tickets to attend one or both days of Lolailand. The festival will continue throughout the year in Seville and will be based in various enclaves; a diverse program that mixes music, humor, poetry and gastronomy.
