Sunday, June 21, marks the official start of summer 2026; however, quite a few public swimming pools in the province of Seville have been open since the beginning of the month—albeit sporadically—to beat the heat. And Gines, whose pool was set to open last weekend, is hosting the grand opening of the Water Games at Concejala Dolores Camino Municipal Park this Saturday, June 20.
A place that has become a true go-to spot for cooling off in the Aljarafe.
To celebrate the opening of the 2026 season, the City Council has organized a completely free opening day packed with surprises for the whole family.
Free water party with a giant inflatable and a water cannon
If you’re looking for the best outing for the little ones, the park’s various activities will kick off this Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission is free, and on other days, through September 6, the park will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This Saturday, the main attractions will be the giant foam cannon and a spectacular 12-meter-long inflatable water slide.
To set the mood, there will be live music and entertainment throughout the morning.
As for the park’s permanent features, they include the giant umbrella, interactive water jets, the arch, and the water cannon.
