The sweltering heat wave that we are going through since the beginning of August will continue, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) “probably until Monday, August 18”. With highs of 42 ºC and minimums that barely fall below 30 ºC in Seville capital, it seems a dream to think that in some villages the minimums may fall below 20 ºC.
Although the high temperatures hit equally throughout the province, accustomed to exceed without surprise the 40 degrees in almost all its localities, the minimum mark the difference between one destination or another.
According to data provided by the AEMET, the day is presented with great contrasts in Seville (minimum for today of 26 ° C) and, for example, La Puebla de los Infantes, which may record 19 or 20 ° C early this morning.
A night shelter from the high temperatures
Between Constantina, Lora del Río and Hornachuelos, La Puebla de los Infantes offers one of the best nights in terms of temperatures. In addition to its starry skies and the imposing José Torán reservoir (you can enjoy a stunning sunset from the Mirador de Las Palomas) a few kilometers away, it has minimum temperatures capable of relieving the intensity of the days.
It is not the only municipality that abandons this virtue. You have to travel to the Sierra Morena de Sevilla to be confronted with friendly nights, sheltered by the mountain and the lullaby of lakes and streams.
