In the streets that cross the Avenida de la Borbolla there is a quiet atmosphere only interrupted by the sovereign silhouette of the Plaza de España. It is enough to take Colombia or Felipe II to come face to face with palaces, sumptuous houses and restaurants as suggestive as Casa Ozama.
What was one of the most promising openings in the city a few years ago continues to amaze locals and visitors. The beauty of this modernist building and the high decorative level of each room are still amazing.
A visual wonder that does not have to be equidistant to its gastronomic offer. We tell you why you should visit or return to Casa Ozama this fall.
1. A dozen seductive spaces
One of the faculties of beauty is its disinterested character. The renovation and interior design of Casa Ozama, entrusted to CM4 Arquitectos and Persevera Producciones, resulted in this multifaceted restaurant, whose rooms look inspiring every day of the year.
To sit at any of its tables is to bet on visual delight. Warm, sophisticated, more informal and even intimate lounges, ideal for exclusive dinners. And a garden whose patios and pergolas elevate outdoor dining in the city.
It is impossible not to be seduced by its rooms.
2. Classic tapas and seasonal dishes
Classic starters (ensaladilla or potatoes with Sanlúcar dressing) and other fun proposals ranging from Iberian pork and red shrimp brioche to old cow steak tartar.
A chapter dedicated to fried foods where the croquettes (whether its mythical cecina or garlic prawns) are a must).
And new additions among its main dishes, pisto manchego, cod with intense tomato and piparras sofrito or a selection of spoon dishes to start the autumn season.
Casa Ozama does not renounce to the rice dishes, which are served in the food service and include a dry rice of Iberian pork with secret and prey; a mellow one of carabineros and a rice of the gentleman, with fish of clothes, squids and prawns.
The menu is completed by a fish section, accompanied by “patatas a lo pobre”, and grilled meats with fried potatoes and “padrón” peppers.
3. Afternoon and live music on the terrace.
Prolonging the feast will become quite an experience and without the need to leave this villa. Drinks, signature cocktails and live music on Fridays and Saturdays from 18:30 will harmonize the evening you needed.
4. Open every day of the week
At a time when it seems that going out to eat requires as much planning as a trip, it is to be celebrated that there are spacious restaurants like Casa Ozama. 2,000 square meters and a capacity to seat up to 300 people make it an almost sure bet.
In addition, it is open daily from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (until 3:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays).
