In a tireless search for new locations – animals of habit until the summer asks for enclosure or stimulating plans – Seville promises a new space from the heights that will delight your next sunsets. 1912 is the recently inaugurated terrace of the Mercer Plaza Sevilla, a space to indulge in evening leisure whose atmosphere and views need no introduction.
Beyond an imposing Giralda, 1912 stealthily presides over the bounties of the Plaza de San Francisco. One can glimpse the Laredo, the City Hall of Seville, the classicism of the Bank of Spain or the regionalism that permeates the Telefonica Building or La Adriatica.
And, without detracting from the beauty of the Cathedral, it is also unusual to come face to face with these other jewels under a zenithal prism.
One of the greatest values of this rooftop is the sunset over the Aljarafe of Seville. A quieter experience over the bustle of the city just when the evening breeze begins to make itself felt.
1912: 5-star terrace open to the local public
You have to walk through Mercer Plaza Sevilla’s sophisticated lobby to ascend to its terrace . 1912 is distributed in three levels that allow us to taste its cocktails and snacks or even, for hotel guests, enjoy the solarium or the pool.
Thus, in addition to the classics, Terraza 1912 offers cocktails and a selection of snacks to accompany each drink.
Simple yet succulent proposals to fill your belly with a view. Huelva white shrimp salad, croquettes, focaccia bread sandwich with brie and Iberian ham, brioche with pesto, spinach cream and smoked cheese or tuna tartar with avocado cream and ajoblanco sauce.
In short, gourmet snacks, drinks or cocktails with postcard views of the sunset.
In addition, the terrace can be reserved for events, either partially or completely, for celebrations of all kinds (corporate events, birthdays, company dinners, presentations, etc.) making it the perfect setting for those looking for an exceptional atmosphere, well located and charming at the top of the city.
On top of two historic buildings
Mercer Plaza Sevilla, the 5*GL hotel with 25 rooms and suites, and where Terraza 1912 is located, is situated at numbers 11 and 12 of the Plaza de San Francisco. It occupies, at the time, two old buildings that were born as bourgeois family residences in the second decade of the twentieth century.
Juan de Talavera Heredia and José Espiau Muñoz were responsible for the elevation of these two regionalist buildings in 1914 and 1912, respectively.
