“Spectator Day” for people over 65, which allows them to go to the movies every Tuesday for just €2. This is the premise behind the Cine Sénior initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, which has been extended through 2026–2027.
This initiative aims to facilitate access to culture for people over 65 and takes effect on July 11.
This is the fourth edition of this project, which has already attracted more than 4 million moviegoers in Spain since it began in 2023. Perhaps the best excuse to enjoy the big new releases at an unbeatable price.
The 18 theaters in Seville where you can get your ticket for €2
Across the province of Seville, a total of 18 movie theaters (spread across 13 municipalities) have joined this program. They are as follows:

Requirements: How does it work, and who is eligible?
To take advantage of this discount on regular screenings (which are usually held on Tuesdays), please note the following conditions:
- It is intended exclusively for people over 65 who are legally resident in Spain.
- Proof of age is required by presenting an ID card, passport, or residence card both when purchasing a ticket (at the box office or online) and upon entering the venue.
Discounted tickets cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions. Additionally, films rated “X” are excluded from the program.
The popularity of this initiative has continued to grow, turning “Movie Tuesdays” into a true social phenomenon. In fact, overall attendance on discount days has increased by as much as 50%. Given this high demand, the current edition has a boosted budget of 11.15 million euros to ensure that no one is left without a seat.
