The Feria de Abril is a drawer of traditions, idiosyncrasy and Sevillian revelry: almost everything fits inside the cover. Few weeks agglutinate such a large number of visitors and neighbors crowded in a space like the Real for the pure pleasure of celebrating. And in the need to optimize access -both to the well-known private booths and those with free entrance- the first app to digitize the experience of the booths arises.
This is a project in its early stages, similar to the applications used to book a table in restaurants or to have the account on the cell phone to pay directly with a click.
On the other hand, the idea is to implement the use of “tokens” or virtual wallets in order to reduce queues and speed up bar service.
Tokens and contactless payments: agility at the counter
Payment with digitaltokens or NFC wristbands (similar to major festivals) is another potential innovation.
By eliminating the handling of cash and the constant exchange of bank cards, it would considerably speed up service at the bar.
These tokens could be topped up via the official app, ensuring that the user has full control of their spending and reducing waiting times to order a pitcher of rebujito or a portion of fried fish.
The challenge, however, lies in ensuring that the implementation of these tools is not at odds with the spontaneous spirit and idiosyncrasy of the fair.
