Seville’s Holy Week 2026 officially kicks off on March 29. This year features a historic reorganization of the schedule with the aim of bringing the day’s conclusion forward. The main change is that the Official Procession has been moved up by 30 minutes. Thus, the procession at Campana would begin at 3:35 p.m. with La Borriquita and conclude with the Virgen del Socorro, departing from the Cathedral at 11:36 p.m.
New developments and significant changes this Palm Sunday in Seville
In 2026, La Hiniesta will depart exceptionally from Santa Marina due to construction work in San Julián. Likewise, La Estrella will depart from the parish of San Jacinto, which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its chapel and is bringing back the canopy by Garduño.
Another new development regarding this Palm Sunday in Seville concerns the Brotherhood of San Roque, which is unveiling the restoration of the Señor de las Penas and new skirts for the Virgin.
Meanwhile, La Paz will debut new music performed by the Centuria Youth Band following the Cruz de Guía.
