The Seville City Council has set up a tent at Santa Justa Station to assist family members of passengers affected by the train accident in Toledo. This was announced by the mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, at a press conference following a meeting of the emergency committee, where he reported that the Andalusian Regional Government will declare three days of official mourning.
The response team includes a staff of four psychologists who will assist family members in need.
We will strengthen psychological support through the UMIES at Santa Justa Station.
The City Council will also provide lodging to family members who need it.
In addition to the emergency response efforts, the local government has canceled all scheduled events, with the exception of Friday’s plenary session dedicated to the drawing of lots for polling stations.
