With autumn in the lead, there are not few businesses that outline Halloween and Christmas decorations at the same time. An evidence that confirms the logic of each year: the last quarter flies by in the face of a copious agenda and a calendar full of festivities. In fact, this 2026 there are only five national holidays left, although many of them fall on Saturdays and Sundays.
Fortunately, the first of the holidays is October 12, the national holiday of Columbus Day, and although it falls on a Sunday, Andalusia will move it to Monday.
December, the month of public holidays
In the antipodes, November 1, All Saints’ Day, is Saturday and will not allow to extend the rest on the occasion of Halloween and this holiday. The same applies to Constitution Day.
However, although December 6 falls on a Saturday , we will be able to extend the weekend on the Immaculate Conception Day, which is celebrated on Monday, December 8.
A prelude to the Christmas vacations that will offer festive days in the second half of December. Thus, the last holiday of the year will be Thursday 25, Nativity of the Lord. Already entered in 2026, January 1, will also coincide on Thursday.
In sum, the holidays that extend with the weekend until the end of the year are the Día de la Hispanidad, next October, and the Immaculate Conception long weekend.
