Q2, an urban icon
Q2 is the stage name of Curro García, a young Sevillian who, in the midst of the pandemic, decided to venture into the world of music, establishing himself as a leading figure in retro reggaeton and emerging urban music. His 175,000 monthly listeners on Spotify herald what more than 15 sold-outshows in different concert halls and a hit with 10 million plays confirm: Q2 is a sensation, destined to be the “new Taburete” of the urban genre.
CUDO, Q2’s first album
Q2’s first release, peppered with references to his family and friends, was born out of a desire to pay tribute to his roots. In fact, both the album title and the closing track (C.U.D.O.) as well as the artist’s own name have a nostalgic story behind them. The repeated slogan refers to how the artist pronounced his own name (“Curro”) as a child, as he was unable to pronounce the letter “r.”
In addition, CUDO consolidates the singer’s relationship with his producer Willi.ch, in a work that is in line with the reggaeton style of the 2000s, yet at the same time so innovative that it offers us something new in each of its tracks. After his visit to Seville on February 6 and 7, the artist will also visit other cities, such as Madrid, Valencia, Santander, and Pamplona.
