On Sunday January 5, the day of the Three Kings Parade, public transport provided by Tussam will be completely free. This has been announced by the mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz. A measure that, as happened during the Magna, aims to facilitate mobility and access of all citizens to the route of the procession.
Specifically, from 15:00 to 00:00 hours Tussam buses will be free of charge, reinforcing the commitment of the consistory by public transport. Except, of course, the Special Airport line.
In the words of Sanz, it will be carried out “with the aim that, from any corner of Seville, we can enjoy the best Three Kings parade in the world”.
And he added that “public services are a priority of this government and we want public transport to be a key element to achieve a much more livable Seville, more sustainable and, ultimately, a better Seville”.
Therefore, and during the time slot indicated, it will not be necessary to validate the travel tickets, nor the season ticket or other methods of payment.
Reinforcement in the Tussam lines during the day of the parade
On the other hand, a special service has been planned with an increase of up to 190 reinforcement vehicles, mainly in midday and afternoon hours, which in certain lines means an increase of more than 150% compared to a normal Sunday.
Namely: 70 additional vehicles during the morning and intensified with up to 190 additional vehicles from 15:00 hours onwards.
These reinforcements will be preferentially destined to radial lines. Thus, the lines with the highest demand, such as lines 12, 13, 27 and 32, will have between 19 and 25 buses in the afternoon with frequencies of between four and five minutes.
The rest of the radial lines and the transversal lines 2, 3 and 5 will be reinforced to maintain frequencies of between 6 and 10 minutes.
Metrocentro will provide service with 5 units and a frequency of 8 minutes.
On the other hand, most of the lines will suffer cuts and detours, depending on the time of passage of the procession through the different streets of its route, which will be managed in real time with the least possible impact on users.
