Seville becomes the European capital of early music this month with the 43rd edition of FeMÀS ( Seville Early Music Festival). From March 6 to 29, the city offers a journey through time via the sounds of the Middle Ages and the Baroque period.
A journey to the 17th century without leaving Seville
FeMÀS is the oldest festival of its kind in Spain. Its aim is to recover the essence of early music, ranging from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period, always performed with original instruments to remain faithful to the sound of the period.
To this end, the program brings together the world’s leading specialists every year. Thanks to their talent and the acoustics of the performance spaces, it is no longer necessary to have candlelit concerts to feel that we are in an authentic 17th-century evening.
