The turning on of the Christmas lights emulates a kind of cataclysm whose main function lies in establishing the beginning of Christmas; thus, in Seville it took place on November 30, when a juicy seasonal program was launched.
294 streets and squares have been illuminated and embellished in shapes and colors for the weeks to come. Although they will not be the only elements expected for this December. The Christmas trees in Seville will also take center stage, adding this year up to thirteen trees, which will be arranged beyond the central areas.
The neighborhoods of the city will also have their streets and decorative elements more special as these trees. The schedule in which we will be able to see the Christmas lights is as follows: from 18:30 to 23:30hours. On the other hand, on December 24 and 31 and January 5 they will remain on until 1:00 am.
Where are the Christmas trees this year?
The Seville City Council has installed thirteen trees throughout the city. Among the novelties for this edition highlights the imposing tree of 15 meters in the Plaza de San Francisco.
To it are added those already known in the city center and those in the Polígono Sur, Puerta de Jerez, Santa Justa, Emilio Lemos Avenue, the traffic circle access to Torreblanca, Plaza de Cuba and the Glorieta de la Forja XXI and in the Parque de las Flores, in Pino Montano.
The schedule of Christmas lighting
The trees will be fixed all day long throughout this month, but obviously they will not be lit 24 hours a day. The City Council of Seville has set a general lighting schedule that will be from Saturday November 30 until January 6 from 18:30 to 23:30 hours.
In the case of special days, that is, 24 and 31 December 2024 and January 5, 2025, will extend the hours of the lights, so that they will be on from 18:30 to 01:00 hours.
