The sheer number of activities Seville offers after sunset gives a hint of the vibrant life the city can have—against all odds—during the summer. Inaddition to theevents at the Alcázar and the CAAC’s summer movie series, thereare also the Summer Nights at Cajasol.
The Cajasol Foundation has already unveiled the program for one of its most eagerly anticipated events among locals. This cultural event takes place in the courtyard of the foundation’s headquarters and will kick off on July 2. It will run through September 3, transforming its iconic inner courtyard into the perfect retreat for summer nights.
The schedule is packed with urban music, major international tribute shows, comedy, and a great perk: events start at 9:00 p.m., and admission is completely free until capacity is reached.
From Silvio to Michael Jackson: July’s lineup in the Cajasol courtyard
Local talent will kick things off on July 2 with Asere. The Seville-based group will break the ice with a live performance that fuses the most contemporary and urban flamenco with rumba-pop rhythms.
For lovers of music’s greatest legends, July 10 will bring “Human Nature Live: A Tribute to Michael Jackson, ” a large-scale show led by Miguel Concha that meticulously recreates the choreography and essence of the King of Pop.
A few days later, on July 16, Sevillian singer-songwriter Luitingo will take the stage with his blend of Spanish pop and flamenco flair.
One of the month’s most moving events will take place on July 23 with “¡Va por Silvio!”. Led by Andrés Herrera ‘Pájaro’, this concert will pay tribute to the legendary Sevillian rocker Silvio on the 25th anniversary of his death.
And to end the month on a lighthearted note, on July 30, comedian José Luis Calero will present his stand-up special “Humor as a Way of Life, ” an interactive show that’s perfect for unwinding.
An Adele tribute or free swing dancing to make the most of August and September
Meanwhile, the August program begins on the 6th. For the occasion, the courtyard will take a trip to the United Kingdom with “Hello Adele,” a carefully crafted tribute to the British artist performed by Rosam and a band of eight musicians.
The middle of the month will be dedicated to the performing arts. “Pijama para seis” is a fast-paced comedy of errors with light-hearted humor, starring Gabino Diego and Jesús Cisneros, which will be performed on August 13.
On August 20, you can join an introductory swing dance masterclass led by Sevilla Swing Dance.
Great songs and choreography will return on August 27 with “Hola Raffaella, ” a vibrant tribute to the iconic Raffaella Carrá hosted by singer Roser.
Los Saxos del Averno will provide the grand finale of the season on September 3. This renowned black music ensemble promises to bring the series to a spectacular close with R&B, boundless energy, and a unique stage presence.
