In the heart of the Sierra Morena of Seville, Alanís is a fairytale village that every year dresses up in historical finery for its Medieval Days. Its streets are decorated in the purest medieval style and are filled with troubadours, minstrels, merchants and activities for all audiences.
A traditional event that in the last days of August is able to gather thousands of visitors. Specifically, this 2025 – celebrating no less than its twentieth edition – will take place between August 29 and 1. It is a tourist, commercial and cultural attraction on a provincial scale.
Festivities of Tourist Interest since 2019
From this medieval market we can expect music and entertainment, historical recreations, crafts and gastronomy in an enclave that will recreate and remind us of the villages of the Middle Ages.
The streets will sport banners and flags; the neighbors, also participants in the activity, will wear clothes in keeping with the historical period.

There will be no shortage of rogues, jesters and maidens giving life to the streets of the municipality. Thus, the medieval recreation is undoubtedly one of its strengths, which have led to declare this celebration Fiestas de Interés Turístico in 2019.
Program of the Medieval Days of Alanís
The Town Hall Square and the surrounding streets will serve as the great medieval market. The visitor will be able to buy handmade leather, metal, jewelry or aromatic plants; taste local gastronomy, Iberian sausages, hams, cheeses or oils; or become, why not, a knight.
This sort of thematic market has brought together up to a hundred stalls and even in other editions was enabled play area for children.
On the other hand, the Hermitage is the other enclave of relevance during these days of celebration, where the decoration of the Middle Ages will have to add activities and shows.
Tickets to participate in this feast of history and tradition, warn from the official website, can be purchased from August 25, online and in person, and is priced at 4 €.
