The feminist demonstrations on March 8 will take to the streets of Seville again this Friday. As in previous years, there will be two demonstrations in Seville . Namely : the one organized by the Seville Feminist Movement and the 8M Platform, and the one organized by the Seville Feminist Unity Assembly (AFUS).
March from Torre Pelli
The latter will lead the march starting at 12:00 noon from Torre Pelli. From there, the demonstration will proceed along Puente del Cachorro and Paseo Colón to the San Telmo Palace under the banner: Against fascist violence, we weave feminist resistance.
The organization reaffirms its reaction to the rise of fascism and machismo, highlights the violence that continues to affect the lives of women and LGTBIQ+ people, and also promotes environmental feminism.

Along with the aforementioned organizations, other entities support this call to action. Fundación Triángulo, Accionenred, DeFrente, Asociación Trans Andalucía, Mujeres de la Otra Orilla, USTEA, Trabajadoras del Hogar y los Cuidados, Mujeres de Negro, Plataforma Internacional de Mujeres por el Sáhara Occidental, among others.
As is tradition, the march will be accompanied by batucadas and flamenco performances.

An hour later, the demonstration organized by the Seville Feminist Movement, which includes more than 30 groups, will do the same .
In this case, the demonstration will start at Plaza Nueva at 12:00 noon and end at Alameda de Hércules, near the Las Sirenas Civic Center. In this case, the slogan will be ” They attack our rights, we women respond.”
It is a call to action against the dangers of fascism and patriarchy and attacks on women’s rights. They also advocate for secular education, the abolition of the prostitution system, real parity, the right to voluntary termination of pregnancy in the public health system and outside the criminal code, among other issues.
