The Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit is once again the epicenter of Spanish motorsports. EPIC NAPA Racing Weekend will not just be a race: it will be the fifth round of the Spanish Formula 4 Championship—the series where rookie drivers hone their skills before making the leap to F1. The future of motorsports is on the line. Tickets for the event (to be held on September 26 and 27) are now on sale.
It’s no surprise that some of the greatest drivers in Formula 1® history previously excelled in Formula 4 championships, such as Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Yuki Tsunoda. Who will be the next big names we’ll see competing in Jerez this September?
Jerez: A Decisive Race in the Season
Just a few weeks ago, Formula 4 took to the track at the iconic Jarama Circuit in Madrid. There , Dutch driver Kasper Schormans gained momentum , racking up 140 points. And the competition has heated up: the top five drivers in the standings are separated by just 29 points—a tight field that promises intensity, tension, and competitiveness in Jerez.

Second in the standings is Poland’s Borys Lyzen, with 122 points; Andrej Petrovic, with 118, is hot on his heels, while Portugal’s Noah Monteiro holds fourth place, just 4 points behind the Serbian driver. In fifth place is Rocco Coronel, with 111 points; and sixth place goes to Nacho Tuñón from Benidorm, Spain, with 97 points.
Schormans arrives in Jerez with an 18-point lead over Lyzen after a stunning performance in the Madrid race. But nothing is set in stone in the art of F4 driving: before Jarama, Noah Monteiro was the one leading the championship.
