“Deep within the Sierra Norte of Seville lies a legendary forest, where magical creatures and ancient secrets await discovery.” The text refers to La Zahurdilla, in Las Pajanosas, which will host its family-friendly nighthike on Saturday, September 26.
The fourth edition of “La Ruta Encantada” consists of a trail ranging from 3.5 to 4 kilometers through the pastureland of La Zahurdilla Park. The elevation gain ranges from 70 to 80 meters, although the organizers have rated the technical difficulty as moderate.
An adventure among holm oaks: puzzles, mystery, and nature
During the route—which this year is titled “The Awakening of Arbórea’s Memory”—participants must solve puzzles, decipher hidden clues, and delve into the fantastical story of Arbórea to protect the magic of the natural environment.
Organized by the Department of Tourism and Heritage of the Guillena City Council on the eve of World Tourism Day, the event is designed for children and adults alike.
The activity is designed like an escape room and aimed at families, with the goal of finding the six-digit code that will lead you to where the treasure is hidden. It consists of 11 checkpoints in different locations, each with challenges that must be completed.
How to register and participate in “La Ruta Encantada”
To participate in the themed tour through La Zahurdilla Park and solve Arbórea’s puzzles, advance registration is required.
The number of participants for the hike is limited to ensure safety and maintain the game’s dynamics:
- Reservations are handled exclusively online through the dedicated website for “La Ruta Encantada,” available starting September 15.
- When registering, groups or families must select the time slot in which they wish to begin their adventure. There are time slots every half hour from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Spots tend to sell out quickly due to high family interest. If you’re unable to secure a spot for the hike, admission to the La Zahurdilla grounds is free.
In any case, those interested can stop by La Zahurdilla and enjoy activities for the little ones starting at 6:00 p.m. In addition, there will be face painting, entertainment, music with a DJ, refreshments, and a food truck.
