The Seville Jazz Festival, the Seville Jazz Association, performances by timeless artists such as Miles Davis or Wynton Marsalis… Seville understands many more musical genres than flamenco. And The Jazz Room Sevilla proves it in the best possible way: with intimate live concerts dedicated to the purest jazz, blues and soul, glass in hand.
What is The Jazz Room?
Imagine entering an elegant lounge in the style of the streets of New Orleans in the 1920’s. The warm light of a street lamp creates the perfect atmosphere for a night of jazz and Sing Sing Sing by Louis Prima begins to play. That’s The Jazz Room, an experience that combines the traditional of the genre with the spontaneity of improvisation. 60-minute sessions in which the most iconic sounds of jazz come to life in a unique way, as if they were played just for you that night.
The Jazz Room Sevilla: what concerts are there now?

A Journey to the Heart of New Orleans
The roots of today’s music ring out at this concert. From African rhythms to European harmonies through the influence of African-American communities, this tribute celebrates that time when everything sounded like vinyl and strummed voice through jazz classics like Hello Dolly or When The Saints Go Marching In.
A carefully designed program that also features (as it could not be otherwise) hypnotic moments of improvisation. The authenticity of New Orleans can be experienced from the center of Seville, and this tribute is the proof.
Tribute to Soul
From hymns like Respect or Let’s Get It On to a very careful staging, this concert is a journey to those key moments that defined soul. Notes full of emotion and that something that cannot be described with words that make every minute an experience in itself. There is no better way to honor the music of these icons of the genre than with a live tribute, and this one shows why it marked a generation (and the next, and the one after that, and…).
Tribute to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong
On this evening, the jazz feels close as the voices of Sinatra and Armstrong reappear in every performance. Sinatra’s clarity and smooth style contrast with Satchmo’s strength and character, recalling how both set the genre’s course and took it from small clubs to large audiences. Listening to some of their best-known songs makes it easy to understand why their legacy lives on: from Fly Me To The Moon to When You’re Smiling.
